As a Logistics Team Leader, your primary responsibilities will encompass:
- Direct management and mentorship of Warehouse Operatives and Trainee Supervisors, including conducting one-on-one meetings to evaluate performance against expectations and establishing SMART goals when performance falls short in any critical functional areas.
- Collaborating with the Section Manager to oversee adherence to operational plans and identifying key improvement areas for your shift.
- Enhancing performance metrics to ensure a streamlined warehouse operation capable of meeting customer demands for online and in-store orders promptly and completely.
- Upholding the highest safety standards on-site, partnering with the Safety team to ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures (e.g., Safety Inspections, Hazard Identification, Safety Walks, Risk Assessments, Audits).
- Assessing the weekly labor plan to ensure adequate staffing, sharing insights with the Section Manager, and addressing any issues or feedback.
- Providing detailed reports when daily or weekly targets are not achieved and formulating strategies to address gaps.
- Working alongside the Warehouse Leadership team to collaborate with other key stakeholders, ensuring all strategic initiatives are on track and adequately supported.
- Facilitating the successful implementation of cultural transformation and employee retention strategies.
- Demonstrating experience in Warehousing, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
- Exhibiting strong potential for people management and change leadership.
- Possessing proficient systems skills.
- Adopting a customer-centric approach to operational management.
