This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their experience in a reception and administration environment. A positive attitude and the desire to learn are essential, as is a non-judgmental and supportive approach to individuals who are facing problems with drugs and alcohol.

As a Volunteer Receptionist/Administrator, you will provide a warm welcome to the people coming into our services. Your duties may include:

  • Covering reception duties, answering calls and welcoming individuals into the service
  • Undertaking administrative tasks such as filing, archiving, and photocopying
  • Supporting the collection and inputting of service data
  • Working with local and national databases

You will also be expected to participate in team meetings and carry out other tasks where necessary to support the needs of the service. A good working knowledge of standard IT programs (Microsoft Office and Outlook) and a close eye for detail are also required for this role.
