We are seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to take on the role of Climate Engagement Lead. This position is ideal for an enthusiastic communicator and a dedicated climate advocate who can inspire change and foster community involvement.
The successful candidate will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing community engagement and promoting sustainable practices throughout the borough. Collaborating closely with various teams within the organization, the Climate Engagement Lead will work to embed a culture of sustainability and low-carbon living.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to engage the community in climate action initiatives.
- Collaborate with local organizations, businesses, and educational institutions to promote sustainability.
- Utilize innovative and evidence-based approaches to drive behavioral change across the community.
- Facilitate the H&F Climate Alliance, a network aimed at achieving net-zero carbon emissions.
- Engage with diverse community groups, ensuring inclusive participation in climate-related activities.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of climate issues, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead and motivate teams. This role requires a proactive approach to engaging stakeholders and fostering collaboration among various sectors.
