About the Role
Hop Citadel Healthcare CIC is seeking a skilled Clinical Coder to join our team. As a Clinical Coder, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient records.
Key Responsibilities
- Triaging incoming clinical documents and letters, adding appropriate codes to patient records in the clinical system
- Determining whether documents require forwarding to GPs or other healthcare professionals for action
- Reducing administrative workload for GPs through efficient coding and triaging
- Participating in monthly audits and practice meetings
- Liaising with outside organizations, such as hospitals and NHS111
Requirements
- GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
- Desirable: experience of working in a GP Practice and previous SNOMED coding experience
