Opportunity Overview: We are offering a unique position for a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist within our West Sussex Care Delivery Service. This role is situated in Jade Ward, which provides in-patient care and treatment for adults.

Compensation Package: This position includes a Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000, alongside a potential relocation allowance of up to £8,000. The Recruitment and Retention payment is structured as follows:

  1. £5,000 upon appointment
  2. £5,000 at the 12-month employment anniversary
  3. £6,500 at the 30-month employment anniversary
  4. £8,500 at the 48-month employment anniversary

Please note that the Recruitment and Retention payment is pro rata for part-time roles.

Role Responsibilities: In this position, you will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on the ward to deliver high-quality care to patients. You will also engage with other acute in-patient services and local community teams.

Professional Development: This role supports opportunities for research, development, medical education, and the pursuit of special interests. We are dedicated to creating positions that not only serve the community but also allow you to cultivate your own areas of expertise.

Support and Collaboration: Upon appointment, you will have the chance to become part of the Trust-wide consultant network and gain access to peer support from colleagues in West Sussex.
