London Greater, United Kingdom LONDON SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS AND POLITICAL SCIENCE Full time

The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is dedicated to fostering a diverse, equitable, and genuinely inclusive academic environment.

Position: Executive Director of Alumni Engagement and Individual Giving

We offer a competitive salary starting from £100,000 per annum, inclusive of a London allowance.

LSE stands as a premier institution, renowned for its commitment to the social sciences. Under the leadership of our new President, we are a vibrant global community situated in central London, consistently ranking among the top universities worldwide in the QS subject rankings.

With a legacy of nearly 130 years, our mission is increasingly vital. In an era marked by significant transformation and challenges, our core functions of education and research are pivotal in delivering impactful solutions and fostering meaningful discourse. Our ambitious Shaping the World Campaign aims to generate £350 million in philanthropic support, alongside volunteer contributions that enhance knowledge and promote a more equitable and sustainable future.

As we approach the target for our Shaping the World Campaign, we are excited to embark on its next phase, building on our achievements and momentum. Notable accomplishments include securing an unrestricted 8-figure contribution to LSE's endowment and raising over £18 million for sustainability-focused research initiatives. Our Philanthropy and Global Engagement (PAGE) Division has established itself as one of the UK's leading university advancement teams. We are now in search of a new Executive Director of Alumni Engagement and Individual Giving to join the PAGE leadership team, continuing to nurture relationships with our most dedicated donors and supporters.

Reporting directly to the Chief Philanthropy and Global Engagement Officer, the Executive Director will lead a dedicated team of 15, with plans for future expansion. This newly created role will focus on enhancing global alumni engagement, ensuring it resonates meaningfully with key institutional priorities, and fostering individual giving in all its forms. As the PAGE Division enters a phase of growth and investment, the Executive Director will be instrumental in developing the Division's engagement strategies, exploring thematic outreach opportunities, leveraging technological advancements to improve performance, and contributing a fresh vision to the senior leadership of PAGE.

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead LSE's engagement efforts with a global alumni network of 250,000 individuals. The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for the role of universities in society, coupled with strong leadership skills, creativity, and a proven track record in cultivating high-performing teams to implement an inspiring alumni engagement and individual giving strategy.

For further information regarding the qualifications, skills, and experience required for this role, please refer to our official website.

LSE is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, ensuring that all candidates are treated fairly and equitably.
