The University of London is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Alumni Engagement efforts. As the Head of Alumni Engagement, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage our global community of 500,000 alumni, fostering a positive experience and encouraging their contributions to the University's strategic and philanthropic fundraising priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy, aligned with the University's mission and goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the University of London federation to support alumni relations, legacies, volunteering, and charitable giving initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior staff, alumni, and external stakeholders to promote the University's brand and reputation.
  • Analyse and present data to inform strategic decisions and measure the impact of alumni engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and manage partnerships with key stakeholders to advance the University's philanthropic and fundraising goals.
Requirements
  • Deep understanding of the higher education sector, particularly in relation to philanthropy and engagement.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of alumni relations, legacies, volunteering, and charitable giving.
  • Strong networking, problem-solving, and delegation skills, with the ability to prioritize actions and advise senior leaders.
  • Experience in building and managing partnerships, with a proven track record of success.
  • Ability to analyse and present data clearly, with a focus on strategic decision-making.
  • Discretion, strategic thinking, and a meticulous approach to managing reputational risks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain and establish relationships within the University and with external stakeholders.
