Role Overview

In this position, you will report to the Regional Learning Team Leader and be an integral part of the People and Learning Team, which is committed to delivering a high-performing and respected function.

The primary focus of the Workplace Development Coach is to collaborate with the local HammondCare at Home Care Team and the Learning Team to enhance the lives of individuals receiving our services through effective coaching and mentoring of colleagues. The main goal is to empower Care staff to implement the HammondCare Model of Care effectively.

Employment Type

This is a permanent full-time position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with local management, Educators, Learning, Dementia Centre, Quality, Safety, and Risk teams to assess learning and development needs.
  • Facilitate and support the implementation of a case management approach within the Care Team.
  • Partner with local Learning Team members to design training schedules that address both learner and service requirements.
  • Deliver learning experiences in various formats, including face-to-face sessions, individual and group training, webinars, and workplace assessments, tailored to service needs.
  • Assist in the comprehensive learning journey for care staff, from orientation onwards, as part of the new employee retention strategy.
  • Provide support for staff pursuing ASQA accredited qualifications, including Certificate III in Individual Support and Certificate IV in Ageing Support.

Candidate Profile

  • A strong commitment to align with HammondCare's Christian Mission and values.
  • Proven experience within the Australian Aged Care Sector.
  • Demonstrated capability in a practical training, mentoring, or coaching role.
  • Dedication to fostering lifelong learning for oneself and others.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and MS Teams).
  • Possession of a current Certificate III in Individualised Support is preferred, or a willingness to obtain one is highly desirable.
