Purchase Ledger Assistant Job Description

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in Accounting & Finance, with a keen eye for detail and excellent numeracy skills. They will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining supplier accounts, and ensuring compliance with all financial policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurate processing and coding of supplier invoices.
  • Maintaining up-to-date supplier accounts.
  • Processing payment runs and resolving supplier queries.
  • Reconciling supplier statements.
  • Assisting with month-end closing procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with all financial policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the Accounts Payable team with other administrative tasks.
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • A background in Accounting & Finance.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • An hourly rate of £12 - £14ph.

  • Working hours are 8.30am - 4.30pm.
