Research Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant to contribute to an ongoing research project involving ES cell culture and CRISPR screening.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing experimental work, compiling data, and developing strategies for project advancement.
Key responsibilities will include performing CRISPR-mediated knockout and knockdown validations, CUT&Tag/CUT&Run, RNAseq, lentiviral transduction, FACS sorting, DNA isolation, and PCR.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology techniques and mammalian cell culture, with excellent technical expertise and statistical analysis skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and deliver projects within agreed timelines.

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London and is a full-time, fixed-term position for 6 months, with an expected start date of July 2024.
The starting salary will be on the Junior Research Training Zone, Grade 4, £36,572 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
