Senior Quantity Surveyor

Venesky-Brown is a leading infrastructure and construction firm that values excellence, innovation, and sustainability. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Huddersfield.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing diverse projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness. You will collaborate with joint venture partners, negotiate contracts, mentor teams, and provide commercial advice to the site team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate in joint venture projects, building productive relationships
- Negotiate contracts for optimized project profitability
- Mentor teams and enhance operational capabilities
- Provide commercial advice to the site team
- Monitor cost performance data and produce reports
- Manage time and workloads for yourself and your commercial team
Requirements
- Successful experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step
- Member of CICES or RICS
- Thorough knowledge of construction processes and working methods
- Demonstrable ability to mentor and coach colleagues
- Commitment to promoting equality and diversity
Desirable Skills
- Understanding of construction law and contractual terms
- Experience in managing multiple suppliers
- Proven ability to maintain and enhance client relationships
- Experience in alliance or joint ventures
- Experience in rail and large civil engineering structures
Work Environment
5 days on site, inside IR35
