Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management accounting and reporting functions within Methods, ensuring alignment with organizational timelines.
  • Assist in the development of monthly forecasts and annual budgets, adhering to established deadlines.
  • Analyze and report on significant variances in forecasts and budgets, recommending necessary corrective actions.
  • Evaluate the month-end financial status, investigating discrepancies and making adjustments in accordance with internal protocols.
  • Generate monthly financial reports summarizing performance and providing insights into key variances.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support year-end audits by providing transaction sampling and evidence related to Revenue, WIP, Accruals, etc.
  • Engage regularly with budget holders to review financial performance and provide management information, analysis, and advice.
  • Ensure budget holders and managers understand financial performance expectations, including budgetary control, and offer financial awareness training as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of regular and ad hoc financial statements, variance analyses, and monthly forecasts for management review.
  • Gather detailed information to enhance reporting from the general ledger.
  • Collaborate with Methods companies to develop business cases and proposals for new opportunities as required.
  • Work with the Sales lead to incorporate financial data into forecasts.
  • Support team members in the Finance and Resources Team with various projects, including integrating financial and activity data.
  • Utilize financial systems such as Salesforce, Certinia, Vena Forecast and Planning Tool, and MS Excel.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in a relevant field, with part qualification in ACCA/CIMA/ACA or actively pursuing qualification.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity effectively.
  • Experience in a commercial financial setting.
  • Background in a professional services environment.
  • Proficient in producing and analyzing management accounts and forecasts.
  • Strong business partnering skills with senior and director-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in financial management within complex environments.
  • Capability to interpret financial data to inform business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to implement and manage change while achieving results.
  • Strong leadership and engagement skills to ensure objective delivery.
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Quick to learn new financial systems, models, and processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.

Security Clearance:

This role requires the candidate to either possess or be willing to undergo Security Clearance. As part of the onboarding process, candidates will need to complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard.
