Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our network and server infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and availability.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure support, with experience in managing and maintaining complex network and server environments. You will be responsible for providing 2nd and 3rd line support, ensuring system monitoring alerts are responded to, and providing 3rd-line support for all physical and virtual IT assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Infrastructure Support: Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for our network and server infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and availability.
  2. System Monitoring: Respond to system monitoring alerts in a timely manner, ensuring that any issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  3. IT Asset Management: Provide 3rd-line support for all physical and virtual IT assets, including Dell and HP server hardware, Microsoft and Linux operating environments, and VMware virtual server environments.
  4. Cloud and Hosted Infrastructure: Support and maintain our cloud and hosted infrastructure, including Microsoft 365 applications and SSO.
  5. Information Security: Ensure that our IT infrastructure is secure and compliant with relevant policies and procedures.
  6. Change Management: Participate in change management processes, ensuring that any changes to our IT infrastructure are properly documented and tested.
  7. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of our IT infrastructure, including system monitoring and IT asset management.

Requirements:

  1. Strong IT Infrastructure Background: A strong background in IT infrastructure support, with experience in managing and maintaining complex network and server environments.
  2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems (RedHat, SUSE, and Oracle), Windows Server operating systems (Server 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019), and VMware virtual server environments.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
