Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Band 5 nurse to join our dynamic team in the Paediatric Assessment Unit at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to children and young people who are acutely unwell. As a Paediatric Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering care to patients, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic family-centred care to children and their families
  • Undertake delegated responsibility for the department in the absence of the Ward/Unit Manager
  • Work collaboratively with the Children's Emergency Department and other teams to provide seamless care
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new pathways and services
  • Contribute to the development of the Paediatric Assessment Unit and the wider Children's Services
