IT Business Consultant

James Adams is in search of a seasoned IT Business Consultant to become part of a prominent professional services firm with a global presence. The ideal candidate will integrate into a developing project services team committed to fostering innovation and excellence. As the organization continues to grow and adapt, they are looking for a proactive and skilled IT Business Consultant to enhance the team's efforts in delivering significant IT and business transformation initiatives.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly proficient IT Business Consultant with a solid history of executing projects that span IT and business transformation. The successful individual will be instrumental in connecting our organizational goals with technological solutions, ensuring that our initiatives are in line with strategic objectives and provide substantial value to the company.

Key Duties:

  • Engage with stakeholders to collect, evaluate, and document business needs, converting them into technical specifications.
  • Lead the assessment and design of business workflows, pinpointing areas for enhancement and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with IT and project management teams to guarantee effective project execution, from inception to conclusion.
  • Create and sustain project documentation, including business cases, requirements specifications, process diagrams, and user narratives.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions with stakeholders to outline project scope, aims, and deliverables.
  • Perform impact assessments for proposed modifications, evaluating risks and advantages to guide decision-making.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and within budget, adhering to quality benchmarks and stakeholder expectations.
  • Offer continuous support and expertise throughout the project lifecycle, including post-implementation evaluations and benefit realization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as an IT Business Consultant, focusing on executing IT and business transformation projects.
  • Strong comprehension of business workflows and project management frameworks.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency in utilizing business analysis methodologies and tools, such as SWOT analysis, process mapping, and requirements gathering.
  • Experience with project management applications and tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project).
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities and projects concurrently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
  • Understanding of IT systems and infrastructure, with the ability to interpret technical terminology into business language.
