The Finance Manager role encompasses comprehensive oversight of the financial reporting process, ensuring that all underlying controls and procedures are adhered to, while maintaining accurate financial records. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the organization, playing a pivotal role in advancing the business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary finance liaison for the Managing Director and the heads of operational units, offering support and constructive feedback on financial performance.
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports along with the Executive reporting package.
- Oversee the financial ledger, ensuring compliance with established processes and controls, and manage a regular schedule of balance sheet reconciliations, including the annual audit.
- Lead the planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with a robust academic background.
- Proven experience in managing the monthly financial reporting process and ensuring readiness for external audits.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver budgets and forecasts while securing stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying clear and impactful messages to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong relationship-building capabilities, able to provide both challenge and support effectively.
- Experience in a comparable retail, wholesale, or e-commerce environment.
- Confident and resilient, with strong influencing abilities.
- Proactive and optimistic, with a knack for overcoming obstacles to achieve objectives.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain a broader perspective.
