About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team in the Barnet CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Pathway. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions to children and young people with mental health difficulties and learning difficulties.

The successful candidate will have a doctoral level training in clinical psychology and additional post-doctoral training in evidence-based therapies. You will have experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of young people and adolescents with mental health difficulties and learning difficulties across the full range of care settings.

You will be part of a dynamic and innovative team that incorporates all levels of psychologists, from assistant psychologists to qualified clinical and counselling psychologists. The team provides excellent opportunities for career development and is actively involved in service development projects aimed at meeting the complex needs of children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions to children and young people with mental health difficulties and learning difficulties.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct assessments and interventions in a variety of settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and inpatient settings.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and teachers, to provide comprehensive care to children and young people.
  • Participate in service development projects aimed at improving the mental health services for children and young people.
Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology.
  • Additional post-doctoral training in evidence-based therapies.
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of young people and adolescents with mental health difficulties and learning difficulties.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
