About the Role

OCS is seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team at Rushden Lakes Shopping Complex. This is a 40-hour per week position, working Thursday to Sunday, 12:00 - 22:00. The pay rate is £12.63 an hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
  • Provide a customer-friendly, reassuring, professional security presence.
  • Provide a visible security contact for customers and staff.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Deter anti-social behaviour, theft, and criminal activity.
  • Liaise with the Police and store management where required.
  • Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
  • Deal with any difficult situations that arise in a safe and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
  • SIA license - DS or Security.
  • Previous experience of working in a Retail Security Role is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.
