Job Summary:

The Royal British Legion is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Poppy Appeal Manager in South East London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for achieving income, expenditure, and contribution targets, ensuring the success of the Poppy Appeal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Regional Poppy Appeal Manager to create and manage an income and expenditure budget, providing monthly commentary.
  • Coordinate local supporters, partners, and volunteers, building relationships to maximize fundraising potential.
  • Oversee a portfolio of regional corporate partnerships and collaborate with internal departments to achieve collective goals.
  • Recruit and induct new Poppy Appeal Organisers, ensuring they have the tools and resources for success.
  • Plan and coordinate the Poppy Appeal launch, including PR and media activities, to contribute to the appeal's overall impact.
  • Represent The Royal British Legion locally, engaging in outreach activities, and providing updates to key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Commercial knowledge and financial management skills.
  • Experience in supporter relationship management.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and IT skills.
  • Ability to assess the commercial implications of decisions.
  • Effective communication skills, both in writing and verbally.
