About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Poppy Appeal Manager to join our team at Royal British Legion Trading Ltd. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for achieving income, expenditure, and contribution targets for the Poppy Appeal in South East London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate local supporters, partners, and volunteers to maximize fundraising potential.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive income and expenditure budget, providing regular commentary and analysis.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regional corporate partners and internal departments to achieve collective goals.
  • Recruit and induct new Poppy Appeal Organisers, providing them with the necessary tools and resources for success.
  • Plan and coordinate the Poppy Appeal launch, including PR and media activities, to maximize the appeal's overall impact.
  • Represent Royal British Legion Trading Ltd locally, engaging in outreach activities and providing updates to key stakeholders.
  • Travel regularly throughout South East London, with a minimum of 2 days per week spent at our London Hub, Haig House.
Requirements
  • Commercial knowledge and financial management skills.
  • Experience in supporter relationship management and fundraising.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and IT skills.
  • Ability to assess the commercial implications of decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight stays.
