About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Dietitian to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing evidence-based nutritional care to patients across various clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized dietary plans for patients with diverse medical conditions.
  • Provide expert advice and counseling to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on a wide range of nutrition-related topics.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of nutrition policies and protocols.
  • Stay abreast of current research and best practices in dietetics.
Essential Skills and Qualifications

Clinical Expertise

  • Registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Dietitian.
  • Proven experience in providing clinical dietetic services within a healthcare setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of nutritional science and its application to patient care.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience of multidisciplinary teamwork.
  • Awareness of the need for confidentiality and issues of consent.

Personal and Professional Development

  • Experience of training student dietitians/other healthcare professionals (HCPs).

Infection Prevention and Control

  • Familiarity with, and adherence to Trust policies and guidance on infection prevention and control.
  • Completion of all required training and education on infection prevention and control.
  • Integration of infection prevention and control into personal/professional development and annual appraisal.
  • Personal responsibility for contributing to effective prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections.

Health, Safety, and Security

  • Knowledge and understanding of clinical governance and risk management relevant to dietetics.

Information Collection and Analysis

  • Anthropometry skills.
  • Experience in conducting audit and/or research, including the ability to analyze and interpret statistics.
  • Computer literacy.

  • Awareness of equal opportunities and diversity with a demonstrable understanding of the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion framework.
  • Knowledge of NHS obligations under the Equality Act 2010 and the Public Sector Equality Duties.
