Job Summary:
Cygnet is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Dietitian to join our team at Cygnet Brunel, a 32-bed male Neuropsychiatric service. As a Specialist or Highly Specialist Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive dietetic assessment and intervention to individuals with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough dietetic assessments to identify individualized needs and develop personalized dietetic plans.
- Collaborate with the catering team, Speech and Language Team, and multidisciplinary team to provide specialist advice on feeding regimes.
- Deliver direct 1:1 input, advice, and guidance to staff supporting individuals, unit-based clinics, and group work to manage complex presentations.
- Participate in policy development, audit, research activities, pathway development, staff and student training at both a local and national level.
Requirements:
- Registration with HCPC (Health Care Professions Council) and membership of the BDA (British Dietetic Association).
- Experience of working in an in-patient setting and/or in the field of neurorehabilitation or neurodegenerative conditions is strongly desirable.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Enthusiasm, motivation, and passion for working in a neuropsychiatric inpatient setting.
