Access Team Shift Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Access Team Shift Manager to join our integrated Access Team within Navigo Health and Social Care CIC. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal part in improving the lives of the people using our services, supporting them to access the most appropriate service(s) for their needs.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate the safe operation and management of the Adult Access team during allocated periods of responsibility.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Attend and sometimes lead appropriate appointments and meetings, including MDTs, follow-up and assessment appointments, team meetings, etc.
- Undertake full mental health triage and assessment of care needs of patients presenting with complex clinical conditions.
- Determine management plans and deliver short-term interventions for people who are referred with complex mental health needs.
- Ensure timely, good-quality information sharing and comprehensive handover.
- Use and evaluate data, evidence, and other information to guide positive outcomes for patients and ensure the delivery of an efficient and safe service.
- Manage own time and priorities effectively and support the team to do the same.
- Contribute to policy writing and review, ensuring compliance with policy, guidance, and legislation.
- Undertake basic people management duties, including maintaining and supporting others to maintain mandatory training and continuous professional development.
- Take ultimate responsibility for the shift management of the Access Team and act as site lead for Harrison House when on duty.
- Cover the 24/7 Access Team rota and on-call rota.
- Provide on-call support to services across the organisation, including advising and supporting teams to resolve issues that arise.
- Supervise and manage the daily workload to maximise efficiency, ensuring duties are discharged safely and effectively.

Person Specification- Five years post-registration mental health work experience.
- Evidenced knowledge of relapse prevention.
- Three years supervision, management, and/or leadership experience in a health or social care environment.
- Experience using patient records system(s).
- Three years experience using clinical assessment tools.
- Three years experience formulating and delivering biopsychosocial interventions.
