Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Operations Manager to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of our waste management services, ensuring that our operations are running efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the management of our waste collection services, ensuring that our operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational performance and reduce costs.
  • Manage a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the skills and resources needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Ensure that our operations are compliant with all relevant regulations and laws.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure that our operations are running within budget.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that staff have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in waste management and operations.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and laws, including health and safety and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service.
