Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated team member with a keen eye for detail and strong analytical and organizational abilities. The ideal candidate will thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines to ensure that the software applications meet the required standards of our organization.

A solid understanding of Oracle Cerner EPR functionalities and clinical workflows is essential. Proven experience in scripting and testing Cerner Millennium applications, including SR/RFCs, is a must. Familiarity with software testing principles and methodologies, preferably aligned with ISTQB standards, is highly desirable.

Although the primary work location is flexible, candidates should be prepared to travel between various sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning

- Collect and analyze test requirements from complex project specifications to develop comprehensive Test specifications and Test Scripts.

- Ensure all Test Scripts are systematically created and stored in the designated test repository.

- Create and maintain accurate test data necessary for executing Test Scripts.

- Assist Senior Testers and the Test Manager by providing realistic estimates for testing activities.

Test Execution

- Execute all test scripts meticulously according to the Test Plan and established Test Schedule.

- Facilitate and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by end users to ensure thorough test execution.

- Verify that the coverage of test execution aligns with agreed-upon standards.

- Regularly update the traceability matrix to accurately reflect the status of test execution.

Defect Management & Maintenance

- Accurately document and log all defects, including necessary test steps, into the defect tracking and management system as per project agreements.

- Develop and maintain manual Regression Test Packs.

- Collaborate with third-party suppliers and other IT departments to ensure adherence to Quality Assurance standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Education/Qualifications

Essential

  • A graduate degree in Engineering or Computer Science, along with 1 to 2 years of practical experience in a software testing environment.

Desirable

  • ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in the NHS or a healthcare organization, specifically with healthcare systems.
  • Familiarity with Cerner applications such as Cerner OCS, Cerner PAS, Firstnet, and Surginet.
  • Proven experience in creating Test Specifications and Test Scripts.
  • Experience in logging and retesting defects within a defect management system.
