Epilepsy Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Epilepsy Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist care and management to patients with epilepsy.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and prioritize a complex and specialist caseload, aiming to pre-empt, prevent and rectify issues related to epilepsy.
- Practice autonomously, demonstrating expert problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills in epilepsy care, while demonstrating accountability and responsibility.
- Assess, manage, deliver and coordinate the plan of care for patients with epilepsy, utilizing effective and efficient use of resources according to NICE guidelines.
- Responsible for monitoring patients on disease-modifying therapy treatments (DMT) for epilepsy.
- Undertake investigations driven by protocol and within your competence, interpret results and act accordingly.
- Apply advanced skills, knowledge and behaviors relevant to epilepsy.
- Experience of working in a multi-professional environment.
- Current NMC Registration.
- Masters Degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience of undertaking audit.
- Experience in a specialized field of practice.
- At least 2 years experience working as a band 6.
