We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our vascular nurse specialist team in the East of Scotland Vascular Network (ESVN). As a trainee vascular nurse specialist, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in this area, as well as a specialist interest in palliative care for patients with advanced vascular disease.

The ESVN provides tertiary vascular specialist care for a population of over 800,000 patients. Our team is committed to delivering patient-centered, efficient care, and we are seeking an individual who shares our values and is passionate about making a difference.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop generic skills in vascular nursing and a specialist interest in palliative care
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop a specialist vascular palliative service
  • Gain experience caring for patients with advanced care needs and exposure to complex clinical and surgical pathways
  • Participate in specialist teaching from nursing and surgical staff, as well as opportunities for audit and research
Requirements
  • Registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register
  • Extensive experience at Band 5 level within an acute setting, specifically with knowledge and expertise in the vascular specialty
  • Proven ability to utilize effective leadership to influence change and excellent communication skills
