Interventional Radiologist Specialist

Job Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiologist to join our team at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. As a key member of our Interventional Radiology team, you will provide a full range of vascular and non-vascular interventional radiology services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality interventional radiology services to patients in Tayside and Fife.
- Work closely with clinical teams to provide a comprehensive service.
- Participate in a 1:7.5 on-call rota, with all on-call services based at Ninewells Hospital.
- Develop and maintain a wide range of IR skills and special interests.
Requirements:
- Be on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of the anticipated award of CCT or CESR(CP) at the time of interview.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Working Environment:
Ninewells Hospital is a well-established and friendly Interventional Radiology team, providing an IR service to the population of Tayside and Fife. The hospital has two fully equipped IR rooms with Siemens C-arms and access to interventional CT facilities. The team works closely with clinical teams and has a good working relationship with the East of Scotland Vascular network.
Training and Development:
The East of Scotland Training Scheme is highly successful, with the highest trainee satisfaction in the UK for the last 3 years. There are 2 funded IR training posts within the training scheme, and opportunities for developing formal training roles.
Job Plan:
The indicative job plan is 8 DCC: 2 SPA, which will be discussed with the successful candidate.
