Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our team at the Queen Victoria Hospital. As a key member of our Head and Neck Oncology MDT Team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the capacity of our department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing locum consultant services, addressing a deficit in services due to internal job plan restructuring and increased demand. You will also be expected to provide training and supervision for junior medical staff and allied health professionals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide locum consultant services to maintain and improve the capacity of the department
  • Participate in the Head and Neck Oncology MDT Team
  • Provide training and supervision for junior medical staff and allied health professionals

Person Specification
  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree at time of application
  • Dental qualification registerable with the GDC
  • Successful completion of FRCS or equivalent at time of application
  • Entry on the UK Specialist Register via: oCCT, or proposed CCT date must be within six months of the interview date oCESR, or proposed CESR date must be within six months of interview date oEuropean Community Rights
Clinical Expertise
  • Evidence of thorough and broad training and experience in managing complex cases with experience in microvascular surgery
