Job Summary:

PTSG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial reporting, as well as providing financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
  • Project Accounting: Oversee the financial management of projects, including the tracking of income and costs, and the preparation of project-specific financial reports and analysis.
  • Management Accounts: Review and analyze management accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness, and provide insights and recommendations to management on areas for improvement.
  • Revenue Recognition: Ensure that revenue is recognized in accordance with relevant accounting standards and company policies, and that revenue provisions are accurately booked.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Proven experience of both management and financial accounting
  • Project/construction accounting experience is advantageous
  • Experience of managing and coaching other Finance team members
  • System orientated with excellent IT skills (PTSG is a Sage Accounting environment and the individual must have an advanced Excel capability)
  • Experience of working with operational and financial systems, in particular linking of these to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting
