Job Description: Public Health Educator for Deaf Children

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Public Health Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deaf education and a commitment to supporting children with hearing loss.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to ensure the well-being and educational success of children with hearing loss.
  • Provide expert technical assistance to meet the unique needs of deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH) children.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on individualized services tailored for DHH children.
  • Foster strong connections within the DHH community, promoting a supportive network for families and educators.
Qualifications
  • Current Teacher Certificate with an endorsement in Deaf Education.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL), Signed English, and/or Pidgin Signed English (PSE).
  • Experience working with Hearing Assistive Technology (HAT).
Additional Requirements
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Word.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of deaf education.
