Job Type: Fixed-term Contract

Location: Peterborough (Hybrid)

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Solution Architect to join our team at Tata Consultancy Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive data platforms that meet the functional and non-functional requirements of our clients.

The Role:

As a Cloud Data Solution Architect, you will be responsible for:

  • Assembling large, complex data sets that meet business requirements.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements, automating manual processes, and optimizing data delivery.
  • Building infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources using SQL and AWS data platform technologies.
  • Ensuring data security and separation across national boundaries through multiple data centers and AWS regions.
  • Designing and implementing data platforms using AWS services such as EMR, Glue, EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Redshift, Sagemaker, Lake formation, and Glue catalogue.
  • Leading the full life cycle of a data platform solution in AWS, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather application knowledge and design and develop data platforms using AWS tools.
  • Providing expertise in data security areas in AWS, including IAM, Cloudwatch, Cloudtrail, and Inspector.
  • Designing system architecture to integrate easily with other AWS services.
  • Having experience in managing the full life cycle of a data platform solution in AWS and leading AWS cloud design and development.

Requirements:

  • Experience in data security areas in AWS.
  • Hands-on experience in architecture of data workloads in EMR Clusters.
  • Expertise in the set-up and administration of AWS data platform, including security areas.
  • Working knowledge of tools like Hive and Pyspark.
  • Insurance domain knowledge (Pensions & Annuity).
  • Understanding of data platform solutions like data lake, data warehouse, and data marts.
  • AWS solution architect certifications.
