About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned health and safety professional to join our team as a Senior Health Safety Environment Manager. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, customers, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement HSE Policies:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments:
    • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop control measures to mitigate risks.
    • Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Lead HSE Initiatives:
    • Develop and implement HSE initiatives to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
    • Engage employees at all levels in HSE programs and initiatives.
  • Manage HSE Training:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE training programs for employees.
    • Ensure all employees receive appropriate HSE training and refresher courses.
  • Monitor and Report HSE Performance:
    • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure HSE performance.
    • Monitor and report HSE performance to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related subject.
  • Experience:
    • Demonstrable years of experience in HSE within a senior position.
    • Working within high-risk environments such as manufacturing, engineering, construction, oil and gas, nuclear.
  • Certifications:
    • NEBOSH Diploma, Cert IOSH, NVQ Level 5 or similar.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of HSE legislation.
    • Strong knowledge of audit standards ISO45001 & ISO14001.
    • Led HSE campaigns/initiatives to improve safety culture.
    • Experience influencing internal stakeholders.
