About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned health and safety professional to join our team as a Senior Health Safety Environment Manager. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, customers, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement HSE Policies:
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive health, safety, and environmental management system.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct Risk Assessments:
- Identify potential hazards and risks associated with our operations and activities.
- Develop and implement control measures to mitigate identified risks.
- Lead HSE Initiatives:
- Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental initiatives to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Engage employees at all levels in HSE programs and initiatives.
- Manage HSE Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and develop training programs for employees.
- Ensure all employees receive appropriate HSE training and refresher courses.
- Monitor and Report HSE Performance:
- Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics and trends.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related subject.
- Experience:
- Demonstrable years of experience in HSE within a senior position.
- Working within high-risk environments such as manufacturing, engineering, construction, oil and gas, or nuclear.
- Certifications:
- NEBOSH Diploma, Cert IOSH, NVQ Level 5, or similar.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation.
- Strong knowledge of audit standards ISO45001 and ISO14001.
- Led HSE campaigns/initiatives to improve safety culture.
- Experience influencing internal stakeholders.

- £50,000-£55,000 per annum.
