Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Autism Support Assistant - Unqualified to join our team at EdEx – Education Recruitment. As an Autism Support Assistant - Unqualified, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with various Special Educational Needs in a creative and inclusive Primary School setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with Autism, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work collaboratively with specialist teachers, therapists, and inclusion staff to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Develop and implement tailored programs to meet the needs of pupils with Autism, utilizing the school's extensive equipment and resources.
  • Contribute to the development of a comprehensive support plan for each pupil, working closely with the teaching team and other professionals.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting pupils with Autism.

Requirements:

  • Passion for working with children with Autism and a commitment to providing high-quality support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of the school and its pupils.
  • Relevant experience or training in supporting pupils with Autism, or a willingness to learn and develop your skills in this area.
