About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team at South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing psychological assessment and interventions to children and young people in secure settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychological assessments and develop formulations to inform care planning
  • Provide psychological interventions and support to children and young people
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to psychological care
  • Participate in clinical audits and research projects to improve psychological care
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in psychology and experience working with children and young people in secure settings. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Psychology (2:1 or above)
  • Graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
  • Experience working with children and young people in secure settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
