Assistant Psychologist

About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Adel Beck, a 24-bedded secure children's home. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced and skilled practitioners to provide high-quality care for young people aged 10-18.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of formulations and work with children to engage them in their care pathway.
- Assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, and development of audit and/or research projects.
- Provide psychological assessment and interventions under the supervision of a HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist.

Person Specification
- Essential qualifications: Honours degree in Psychology (2:1) and entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
- Ability to interact effectively with staff from all disciplines and people with mental health problems or learning disabilities.
- Ability to work independently, reliably, and consistently with work agreed and managed at regular intervals.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Further post-graduate training in relevant areas of professional psychology, mental health practice, and/or research design and analysis.
- Experience of paid work in direct care provision, particularly in the care group of the specialty of this post.
