Learning Support Practitioner at HMP Oakwood

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning Support Practitioner to join our team at HMP Oakwood. As a Learning Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the education team to deliver high-quality learning experiences to our learners.
Key Responsibilities- Provide education induction to new arrivals and promote learning opportunities within the education department.
- Research men's educational backgrounds, administer basic skills assessments, and screen for any LDD needs.
- Write learning support plans and assist teachers with strategies to support inclusion across the curriculum.
- Understanding of how people learn and methods that can be used to enhance a learning experience.
- Track record of working effectively with people presenting with challenging behaviour.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good IT skills.
- Level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy.
- Level 2 or 3 qualification for Learning Support Practitioners.
