Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Claims Advocate to join our team at The Ardonagh Group. As a Senior Claims Advocate, you will be responsible for handling a wide range of claims, from first advice to file closure, and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with clients and producers to deliver and maintain our high-quality claims service.
  • Notify and communicate with insurers, solicitors, and loss adjusters to represent the insured's interests.
  • Ensure claims are accurately entered and processed on our claims management system.
  • Maintain accurate claims records and ensure they are up to date and ready for policy renewal.
  • Liaise with placing teams on issues including claims trends, policy wordings, client meetings, and presentations.
  • Perform ad-hoc administrative and other claim duties as required.
  • Ensure effective liaison with accounting colleagues on collection/payment of funds, queries, and accounting entries.
  • Stay up to date with market and system changes.
  • Monitor workload and report to senior management as necessary.
Requirements
  • Sufficient knowledge and understanding of the Law of Agency and the Law of Contract to perform the key responsibilities.
  • Sufficient knowledge and understanding of general insurance concepts to perform the key responsibilities.
  • Good working knowledge of underwriters and markets, including their practices, documentation, and customs.
  • Good working knowledge of the UK, Irish, and other relevant insurance and regulatory environments.
  • Proactive approach to providing claims solutions for large clients.
  • Strong and effective communication with senior management.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to use claims management systems, Microsoft Office packages, and other relevant tools.
  • Good numeracy skills.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Strong claims management experience across PI, D&O, FI, and cyber claims.
  • Strong attention to detail and natural problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize work accordingly.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
