Job Title: Deputy Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer providing fresh and innovative food services to independent schools and colleges.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our catering team to deliver exceptional food services to our clients, ensuring high-quality meals that meet the unique needs of each school. As a Deputy Manager, you will work closely with our Head Chef and other team members to develop and implement menus, manage budgets, and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of catering staff to deliver high-quality food services
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to diverse dietary requirements and preferences
  • Manage budgets and ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining quality standards
  • Establish strong relationships with school Bursars, Head Teachers, and faculty
  • Recruit, train, and supervise catering staff
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and quality control protocols
  • Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and improvement in menu offerings, service delivery, and operational efficiency
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Deputy Manager in a high-volume, quality-focused environment
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills
  • Financially astute with strong analytical and budgeting skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Meticulous organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Empathetic and effective verbal and written communication
