About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer providing fresh and innovative food services to independent schools and colleges.

As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in leading our culinary operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and exceptional customer service to our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of catering staff to deliver excellent food and service standards.
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to diverse dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Manage the catering budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining quality standards.
  • Establish strong relationships with school administrators, teachers, and faculty.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise catering staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and quality control protocols.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and improvement in menu offerings, service delivery, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Deputy Manager in a high-volume, quality-focused environment.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and delegation skills.
  • Financially astute, with strong analytical and budgeting skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Meticulous organizational abilities and a high attention to detail.
  • Empathetic, clear, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution-oriented perspective.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills.
