Job Summary

As a General Manager at Holroyd Howe, you will be responsible for leading our catering team to deliver exceptional food services to our students. Your focus will be on developing strong relationships with your team, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high-quality standards in food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the back-of-house team to create well-balanced and nutritious menus that cater to diverse dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Manage the catering budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining quality standards.
  • Establish strong relationships with school administrators, faculty, and staff.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise catering staff.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and quality control protocols.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and improvement in menu offerings, service delivery, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or Deputy General Manager in a high-volume, quality-focused environment.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and delegation skills.
  • Financial acumen, with the ability to create and maintain budgets and drive commercial performance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, multitask, and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous organizational abilities and a high attention to detail.
  • Empathetic and effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution-oriented perspective.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills.
