About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at St Matthew's Church of England Primary School. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our pupils, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to pupils with SEND, ensuring they have access to a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring that pupils with SEND are fully included.
  • Support pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL) to develop their language skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding procedures at all times.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND and EAL.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and confidentiality.
