Attendance Management Coordinator

Position: Educational Administration Officer
Location: North Leeds
We are seeking a dedicated Educational Administration Officer to join our administrative and attendance team within a mainstream secondary school. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of student attendance and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and recording student attendance, which may involve engaging with various departments across the school.
- Overseeing safeguarding measures related to student attendance.
- Communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
- Maintaining precise data records and documentation.
- Generating attendance reports and metrics for analysis.
- Performing basic administrative tasks, including correspondence and data management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in an administrative capacity.
- Experience in attendance management is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Willingness to learn new computer systems and processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a background in people-focused roles.
- Possession of a valid DBS certificate or readiness to apply for one.
- Experience in an educational environment or working with youth is advantageous.
Contract Information:
- This is a full-time position, operating Monday to Friday during term time, with opportunities for additional work during school holidays.
- Standard working hours are from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 4:00 PM, with an earlier finish on Fridays.
- Enjoy up to 13 weeks of holiday per year.
