Your Role:

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of a variety of in vitro medical diagnostic devices. You will also address customer support inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

This position requires significant travel to customer locations, primarily during weekdays, with a rotation of weekend duties throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Support Centre to perform service, maintenance, updates, and installations of Siemens Healthineers products within your designated area.
  • Provide out-of-hours technical support when necessary and fulfill mandatory weekend work obligations.
  • Participate in product training sessions in Europe and the USA to enhance your technical expertise.
  • Adhere to Siemens work instructions, quality policies, and regulatory requirements consistently.
  • Ensure that all material parts are handled according to established policies.
  • Possess a HNC/HND in Electronics, Engineering, or Bio-Chemistry disciplines.
  • Demonstrate previous field service experience, particularly in fault diagnosis of electronic or medical equipment.
  • Exhibit strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Networking Infrastructure.
  • Utilize your customer service skills to effectively engage with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Hold a valid UK driving license.

Travel and Training:

A flexible approach to travel is essential, as well as the ability to provide technical support outside of regular hours and work planned weekends and evenings.

  • Expect extensive initial training in Europe and the USA.
  • Daily travel may require approximately four hours.
  • This role operates on a day shift, with weekend work scheduled once a month.
