About the Role

The Highway Consents Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of High Speed 2 (HS2) project. This position will be responsible for coordinating Highways Consents and other requirements across three delivery areas in accordance with the Route-wide Traffic Management Plan.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with project teams, HS2 Ltd, and stakeholders. They will also possess a strong understanding of the High Speed 2 London to West Midlands Act and the associated Highways consenting regime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collate and process highway consent applications, producing reports in accordance with client requirements.
  • Investigate and provide information on highway-related non-compliances.
  • Work with area-based Highways Consents Managers and Traffic Management Managers to ensure timely consent of delivery teams' requirements.
  • Liaise with the Project team for the assessment of design and construction activities' impact on 3rd Party assets and objectives.
  • Attend Local Traffic Liaison Group meetings, presenting current and future planned works.
  • Assist across the project to provide a clear vision of highway and traffic-related activities in planning stages, planned, and live.
  • Knowledge of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB), Traffic Signs Manual, and Traffic Signs Regulation and General Directions (TSRGD).
