Job Role

As a Family Support Worker with Nurseplus, you'll play a vital role in supporting vulnerable young people and their families. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a complex caseload, providing practical and emotional support to help bring about substantial behavioural improvement.

You'll work closely with families to develop and implement interventions, aiming to improve overall outcomes and reduce dependency on external services. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage a workload while adhering to a schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of vulnerable young people and families, providing support and interventions to promote behavioural improvement.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to improve outcomes and reduce dependency on external services.
  • Work closely with families to build strong relationships and promote positive change.
  • Manage a workload while adhering to a schedule, ensuring timely and effective delivery of services.
  • Escorting vulnerable children to and from school, providing safe and effective guidance at all times.

Requirements
  • Be over 18 years old.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Previous experience in a similar role in the UK.
  • NVQ level 3 desirable.
  • A Full UK Driving License is desirable but not essential.
  • A good standard of English and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • An enhanced DBS, which you can apply for upon registration.
