Operations Supervisor Job Description

Woodland Group is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day activities of our operations team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and controlling all operational activities to ensure the smooth running of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor activity to ensure effective communication and customer service
  • Prepare performance progress reports for senior management
  • Handle employee absences in line with Company policy
  • Ensure specific customer requirements are met by working with the commercial team
  • Communicate health and safety and all insurance/legal compliance issues
  • Provide constructive input to the weekly team meetings
  • Work with the operations team to continually improve processes and business performance
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as an Operations Supervisor within freight forwarding
  • Natural ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
