Our client is a leading organization in the environmental sensor design and manufacturing sector, engaging in various industries such as Naval Defence, Maritime, and Marine Science & Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing electronic systems for instrumentation and acoustics applications.
- Engaging in mixed signal design, including pre-amplifiers, filters, power supplies, and analogue-digital conversion.
- Creating microcontroller-based circuit designs.
- Collaborating within a team or independently throughout the product development cycle, from requirement analysis to production.
- Producing comprehensive design documentation and test specifications.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A BSc/BEng degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in analogue and digital circuit design, preferably within an instrumentation development context.
- Experience or knowledge in microcontroller-based circuit design and embedded software.
- Familiarity with FPGA-based circuit design is advantageous.
- IPC training (training can be provided).
- Experience with OrCAD design software or similar tools.
Desirable Knowledge:
It would be beneficial to have knowledge in:
- Basic analog components and circuits.
- Operational amplifier circuits.
- Power supply technologies.
- Circuit analysis, modeling, and theory.
- Analog-Digital conversion techniques.
- Interfacing and I/O protocols (e.g., I2C and SPI bus).
- CAD schematic layout and PCB design.
- Fault finding methodologies.
- Assembler and/or embedded C programming.
- Utilization of PAL/FPGA technologies.
- Linux and other operating systems.
