About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our client's team in Yateley. As an Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronics for instrumentation and acoustics applications.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop mixed signal circuits, including pre-amplifiers, filters, power supplies, and analogue-digital conversion for precision instrumentation applications.
  2. Work independently or as part of a team to contribute to all aspects of the product development cycle, from requirement analysis to design, development, and production.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A BSc/BEng or equivalent experience in Engineering or a related field.
  2. Expertise in analogue and digital circuit design, preferably in an instrumentation development environment.
  3. Experience or knowledge of microcontroller-based circuit design and embedded software.
  4. IPC training (training can be provided).
  5. OrCAD design software or experience with similar tools.

It would be beneficial to have knowledge of:

  • Basic analog components and circuits.
  • Operational amplifier circuits.
  • Power supply technology.
  • Circuit analysis, modelling, and theory.
  • Analog-Digital Conversion.
  • Interfacing and IO (e.g. I2C and SPI bus).
  • CAD Schematic layout.
  • CAD PCB design.
  • Fault finding.
  • Assembler and/or embedded 'C'.
  • Use of PAL/FPGA technologies.
  • Linux and other OS.
